Our Old House

So much has happened since the last post (months ago)!

• We got married!!!
• The heat and mosquitoes have disappeared
• They’ve been replaced by snow and ice
• I learned that I’d rather be without AC than heat
• Trying to heat your home with space heaters and the oven isn’t easy
• If you’re really nice to your neighbors, they might snow-blow your super long driveway
• It’s not a bad idea to have your union dad “meet” the shady non-union operation that came to replace your 100 year-old boiler
• And the list goes on…

One of the items on my infinite to-do list is to update this blog with pictures, videos, the whole deal.  We’re closer to having the kitchen done.  The plywood countertop leaves a lot to be desired, but we can now cook and wash dishes in there!  The fridge has moved out of the dining room.  The walls are up and beautiful tile has been laid… we are loving it.  

As time goes on, we are learning more about this house and uncovering more weird design choices.  Many people have come with many theories about why there are no windows in the basement or why there are mirrors everywhere and strange unused ducts in the walls.

Megan’s theory is latest and most disturbing… “Milissa, maybe they had a sex slave… I mean… think about it”
